The Mayor will call the Public Hearing to order for:

  1. "Tronson Road Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5975, 2023” together with Public Input for Development Variance Permit 00563
  2. "3300 31 Avenue Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5976, 2023 ” together with Public Input for Development Variance Permit 00617.

As Mayor of the City of Vernon, and in the spirit of this gathering, I recognize the City of Vernon is located in the traditional territory of the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation.

Administration will provide a brief description of the application.  The Mayor will then request the Corporate Officer to indicate if any written submissions have been received, for the record.  The Mayor will call for representation from the public in attendance:

  1. A microphone will be provided;
  2. The Chair will recognize ONLY speakers at the microphone. Speaking time may be limited to give all those who wish to be heard an opportunity;
  3. The public and members of Council may for clarification from the applicant and/or Administration; and
  4. There will be a final call for representation.

"Tronson Road Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5975, 2023" together with public input for Development Variance Permit 00563.

Bylaw 5975 - To rezone a portion of the property to R3 - Medium Lot Residential in order to support a proposed subdivision of the lands.

The Corporate Officer will provide information as to how the meeting was publicized, as required by Legislation.

Administration will provide an overview of "Tronson Road Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5976, 2023" together with Public Input for Development Variance Permit 00563.

Mayor Cumming will call for representation from the public who believe they are affected by "Tronson Road Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5975, 2023" together with Public Input for Development Variance Permit 00563.

"3300 31 Avenue Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5976, 2023" together with public input for Development Variance Permit 00617.

Bylaw 5976 - To rezone the property to C8 - Central Business District to support the development of a mixed-use commercial and residential building. 

The Corporate Officer will provide information as to how the meeting was publicized, as required by Legislation.

Administration will provide an overview of "3300 31 Avenue Rezoning Amendment Bylaw 5976, 2023" together with Public Input for Development Variance Permit 00617.
