CALL PUBLIC HEARING TO ORDER

The Mayor will call the Public Hearing to order for the following:

Land Acknowledgement

As Mayor of the City of Vernon, and in the spirit of this gathering, I recognize the City of Vernon is located in the traditional territory of the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation.

1.b

Procedure for each bylaw

Administration will provide a brief description of the application.  The Mayor will then request the Corporate Officer to indicate if any written submissions have been received, for the record.  The Mayor will call for representation from the public in attendance:

1. A microphone will be provided;
2. The Chair will recognize ONLY speakers at the microphone. Speaking time may be limited to give all those who wish to be heard an opportunity;
3. The public and members of Council may for clarification from the applicant and/or Administration; and
4. There will be a final call for representation.

BYLAW

“Zoning Text (Drive-through Services and Minor Fuel Stations - 1501 Hwy 6) Amendment Bylaw 6005, 2024”

Bylaw 6005 - a bylaw to authorize Drive-through Services and Minor Fuel Stations on LT 1, SEC 26, TWP 9, ODYD, PL 24027, Except PLs H14665 and KAP58251 (1501 Highway 6)

Confirmation of Publication

The Corporate Officer will provide information as to how the meeting was publicized, as required by Legislation.

Bylaw Overview

Administration will provide an overview of “Zoning Text (Drive-through Services and Minor Fuel Stations - 1501 Hwy 6) Amendment Bylaw 6005, 2024”.

Representation from the Public

Mayor Cumming will call for representation from the public who believe they are affected by “Zoning Text (Drive-through Services and Minor Fuel Stations - 1501 Hwy 6) Amendment Bylaw 6005, 2024”.
